Pure Circular Meets Lines: Flat Moon, Flat Moon Eclipse and United LED

Favourite luminaires have a way of circling back into the spotlight. Their testament to pure forms is certainly one of the reasons. The basic circle of Flat Moon and Flat Moon Eclips. The line of United and United Asy. Circular and soft, linear and directional. These luminaires truly reflect ambient luminescence while remaining pure and uncomplicated in design.

Let the moon caress your space

The Flat Moon, a homogenous, circular light surface, was inspired by simplicity and by the perpetual challenge of designing minimalist architectural lighting. Flat Moon’s organic curved edges are just subtle enough to keep the design basic, while giving it that extra touch that makes it unique.

Sunken or floating bodies of light

As it comes in 3 sizes (450, 650, 950mm diameter), one can only think of playful applications with multiple Flat Moons. Designers can experiment with sizes and installations for custom and creative in-store displays, public libraries, working spaces. Surface-mounted, recessed or suspended (with two types of suspension), Flat Moon is even office-compliant when combined with a prismatic diffuser.

Flat Moon Eclips: when space calls for a softer glow

Our spectral Flat Moon was soon followed by the enchanting Flat Moon Eclips, whose main distinguishing feature is a slender central disc fixed with a magnetic plate. While the fixture’s design is an eye-catcher, the luminosity it emanates is more modest than its Flat Moon cousin. Eclips is still a star in high-end residential spaces and is well appreciated in hospitality venues, retail, art galleries, and other large and public spaces.

Flat Moon Eclips comes with the same installation options as Flat Moon.

Create lines and play with effects

United LED is the successful combination of simple form and many functions into one piece of architectural lighting design. Wall or ceiling-mounted, it’s the functional fluorescent light of times past turned it into a modern expression. As demand was high for this Good Design award winner, and lighting regulations were changing, we revamped our original Couvreur-DeVos design and equipped it with a more ecological LED solution.

United LED and United Asy have a U-shaped housing open at both ends, available as single- or double-line compositions. United Asy’s shape has the extra pleasant surprise of having one of the sides slightly longer than the other, perfect for a wall-washing effect above a bookshelf or a piece of art. For further experimentation, two United Asys facing each other with the longer sides on the outer edges can form a cozy, cocoon-like expression.

Add a bit of suspense and contrast to United

An extra cover available in black or white can be added to the luminaire, for extra depth or for more contrast. The cover also gives the additional option of suspending the luminaire.
